Rice Delicacy
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup rice rawa
- 1/2 cup moong dal
- 1/4 tsp pepper powder
- 1/4 tsp cumin powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
For Seasoning
- 1 tsp ghee
- 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp cashewnuts
- 1 tsp curry leaves
- 1 tsp mint leaves
- 1 green chili, minced
- 1 red chili, broken into bits
For Garnishing
- 1 tsp coriander leaves, chopped
Method
- Roast the rice rawa and the dal separately, till the raw smell disappears.
- Heat ghee and fry the seasoning ingredients.
- Add 3 cups of water along with the pepper powder add rice rawa and cumin powder and salt.
- When the water begins to boil, dal.
- Cook on a high flame for 5 minutes. Reduce heat, cover the pan with the lid and cook on a slow fire till the contents are tender and dry.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped coriander 1eaves either with chutney or curd.
