Savoury Lapsi
Ingredients
- 1 cup wheat rawa
- 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
- 1/4 tsp salt
For Seasoning
- 1 tsp oil
- 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 green chili, chopped
- 1 red chili, broken into pieces.
- 1 tsp curry leaves
For Garnishing
Method
- Roast the wheat rawa till the raw smell disappears.
- Heat oil and fry the seasoning ingredients.
- Add tomatoes and fry.
- Add 3 cups of water and the salt.
- When the water begins to boil, add roasted rawa and cook on a high flame, stirring constantly for 5 minutes. Cover it with lid and cook on a slow fire for a few more minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with roasted peanuts or 1 tsp melted ghee or butter spooned over it.
