Savoury Lapsi

Ingredients

  • 1 cup wheat rawa
  • 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp salt

For Seasoning

  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 green chili, chopped
  • 1 red chili, broken into pieces.
  • 1 tsp curry leaves

For Garnishing

  • 1 tsp roasted peanuts

Method

    1. Roast the wheat rawa till the raw smell disappears.
    2. Heat oil and fry the seasoning ingredients.
    3. Add tomatoes and fry.
    4. Add 3 cups of water and the salt.
    5. When the water begins to boil, add roasted rawa and cook on a high flame, stirring        constantly for 5 minutes. Cover it with lid and cook on a slow fire for a few more minutes.
    6. Serve hot, garnished with roasted peanuts or     1 tsp melted ghee or butter spooned over it.
