Sprout Idli
Ingredients
- 1 cup idli batter
- 1/2 cup moong sprouts
- A pinch of salt
For Seasoning
- 1 tsp oil
- 1/2 tsp mustard and cumin seeds
- 1 green chili, minced
- 1 red chili, broken into pieces
- 1 tsp curry leaves
Method
- Cook the sprouts with a pinch of salt till just tender. Drain and reserve the liquid for use in another recipe.
- Heat oil and fry the seasoning ingredients.
- Now mix the idli batter cooked sprouts, fried seasoning ingredients, till well combined.
- Pour it into the idli mould and steam for 5 minutes.
- Serve hot with chutney or sambhar.
