Wheat Dosa
Ingredients
- 1 cup wheat flour
- 1 tsp rice flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
For Seasoning
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp chana dal
- 1/2 tsp urad dal
- 1/4 tsp mustard and cumin seeds
- 1 tsp curry leaves
- 2 red chilies, broken into pieces
Method
- Sieve and mix the wheat and the rice flour in a bowl.
- Dissolve salt in water and add to the flour till it forms a smooth batter.
- Heat oil and fry the seasoning ingredients. Pour it over the batter and mix the contents thoroughly.
- Pour 1 spoonful of batter on a tava, pour 1 teaspoon oil over its edges; when the base is crisp and golden, turn it over and cook the other side. Repeat with the rest of batter.
- Serve hot dosas with chutney or sambhar.
