Wheat Dosa

Ingredients

  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 1 tsp rice flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt

For Seasoning

  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp chana dal
  • 1/2 tsp urad dal
  • 1/4 tsp mustard and cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp curry leaves
  • 2 red chilies, broken into pieces

Method

  1. Sieve and mix the wheat and the rice flour in a bowl.
  2. Dissolve salt in water and add to the flour till it forms a smooth batter.
  3. Heat oil and fry the seasoning ingredients. Pour it over the batter and mix the contents thoroughly.
  4. Pour 1 spoonful of batter on a tava, pour 1 teaspoon oil over its edges; when the base is crisp and golden, turn it over and cook the other side. Repeat with the rest of batter.
  5. Serve hot dosas with chutney or sambhar.
