Ambadi Dal

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ambadi leaves, chopped
  • 1/2 cup moong or tur or masoor dal
  • 3 flakes garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp ginger, grated
  • 2 green chilies, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp salt

For Seasoning

  • 1/2 tsp ghee or oil
  • 1/2 tsp mustard and cumin seeds
  • Few fenugreek seeds

Method

    1. Mix all the ingredients till well combined and pressure cook with a little quantity of water.
    2. Heat ghee or oil in a pan and fry the seasoning ingredients.
    3. Add the cooked dal mixture, mix the contents thoroughly end cook for a minute.
    4. Serve hot with rice or roti or chapatti or bhakra.
