Chauli Dal
Ingredients
- 1 cup chauli, chopped
- ½ cup masoor dal
- A pinch of turmeric powder
- A pinch of asafetida
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ tsp ginger-garlic-green chili paste
For seasoning
- ½ tsp ghee or oil
- ½ tsp cumin and mustard seeds
Method
- Mix all the ingredients except the masala paste with the required quantity of water and pressure cook.
- Heat ghee or oil in a pan and fry the seasoning ingredients.
- Stir in the masala paste and fry.
- Add the cooked dal mixture, mix the contents thoroughly and cook for a minute.
- Serve hot with rice or chapatti.
