Peppered Dal
Ingredients
- 8 french beans, cut into 1 inch pieces
- 1/2 cup tar dal
- 1/4 tsp salt
For Roasting
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp chana dal
- 1 tsp coriander seeds
For Seasoning
- 1/2 tsp ghee or oil
- 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp curry leaves
Method
- 1, Mix the beans, dal and salt along with the required quantity of water and pressure cook.
- Roast alt the ingredients given under roasting and powder it.
- Heat ghee or oil in a pan and fry the seasoning ingredients.
- Add the cooked dal mixture, roasted powder and mix the contents thoroughly. Cook for a few more minutes.
- Serve hot with rice or dosa or chapati.
