Spinach Dal
Ingredients
- 1 cup spinach, chopped
- 1/2 cup tur or moong dal
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup tamarind juice
- A pinch of turmeric powder
- A pinch of asafoetida
- 1/4 tsp salt
For Seasoning
- 1/2 tsp ghee or oil
- 2 red chilies, broken into pieces
- 1/2 tsp mustard and cumin seeds
Method
- Mix all the ingredients till well combined and pressure cook with little quantity of water.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the seasoning ingredients.
- Add the cooked dal mixture and cook for a minutes.
- Serve hot with rice or chapatti.
