Tomato Rasam
Ingredients
- 1 cup tamarind juice
- 2 tsp cooked tur dal
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tsp coriander leaves
- 1 tsp mint leaves
- A pinch of asafetida
- A pinch of turmeric powder
- 1 tsp rasam powder
- 3 flakes garlic, chopped
- ¼ tsp salt
For Seasoning
- 1/2 tsp ghee
- 1/2 tsp cumin and mustard seeds
- Few fenugreek seeds
Method
- Mix all ingredients till well combined.
- Heat ghee in a pan and fry the seasoning ingredients.
- Stir in the rasam mixture and boil for 5 minutes.
- Serve hot with rice.
