Yellow Cucumber Dal

Ingredients

  • 10-12 cucumber cubes
  • 1/2 cup moong or tur dal
  • 1 tsp coriander leaves
  • A pinch of turmeric powder
  • A pinch of asafoetida
  • 1 tsp mint leaves
  • 1/4 tsp salt

For Seasoning

  • 1/2 tsp ghee or oil
  • 1/2 tsp urad dal
  • 1/2 tsp mustard and cumin seeds
  • 2 green chilies, chopped
  • 1 tsp curry leaves

Method

  • Mix all the ingredients with the required quantity of water and pressure cook.
  • Heat ghee or oil in a pan and fry the seasoning ingredients.
  • Stir in the cooked dal mixture and cook for a minute.
  • Serve with rice or chapatti.
