Dhokla
Ingredients
- 1 cup gram flour
- 1/2 cup sour curd
- 2 tsp fenugreek seeds
- A pinch of soda
- A pinch of turmeric powder
- 2 tsp coriander seeds, chopped
- 1/4 tsp salt
For Seasoning
- 1 tsp ghee or till oil
- 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 red chili, broken into pieces
- 1 tsp curry leaves
Method
- Soak overnight, drain, dry and powder the fenugreek seeds.
- Mix the fenugreek powder, gram flour, curd, soda, turmeric powder, coriander leaves and salt till well combined. Add a little more curd if required. Leave the batter aside to ferment.
- Pour the batter onto a greased plate and steam for 5 minutes.
- Cut it into desired shapes and sizes.
- Heat ghee or oil and fry the seasoning ingredients. Pour it over the dhokla pieces.
