Mutton Madrasi
Ingredients
- 100 gm mutton, cut into pieces
- 1 cup madras onions, peeled
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 cup curd
- 4 tsp lime juice
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic-green chili paste
- 1/4 tsp green cardamom powder
- 1/2 cup mixture of coriander seeds, cumin seeds, poppy seeds, black pepper, nutmeg, mace, cloves
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp oil
Method
- Roast and powder the seeds, black pepper, mace and cloves.
- Mix the curd, lime juice, masala paste, cardamom powder and the roasted powder, and salt till well combined. Marinate the mutton pieces in it for a few hours.
- Heat oil in a 2 liter cooker and stir in the peeled madras onions, and fry.
- Stir in the chopped tomatoes and the marinated mutton pieces and pressure cook.
- Garnish it with peeled madras onions.
