Mutton-N-Mushroom Duet
Ingredients
- 6 mutton pieces (100 gm)
- 6 button mushrooms, chopped
- 2 onions, sliced
- 2 tsp tamarind pulp
- 3 red chilies
- 1 tsp poppy seeds
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 4 flakes garlic
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp oil
Method
- Cook the mutton pieces and the mushrooms with the salt till tender.
- Roast and powder the poppy and sesame seeds.
- Heat 1/2 tsp oil and fry the onion slices and the red chili.
- Grind the onions, red chilies, tamarind pulp and garlic into a fine paste.
- Heat the remaining quantity of oil and stir in the cooked mutton and mushrooms.
- Add the ground paste and the powder, mix the contents thoroughly, cover the pan with the lid and cook for a few more minutes.
- Garnish the dish with mint and coriander leaves.
