Prawn Patties Curry

Ingredients

  • 100 gm prawns, shelled and deveined
  • 1 potato, peeled arid boiled
  • 1 tsp semolina
  • 1 tsp gram flour
  • 1/2 cup coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup mint leaves
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic-green chili paste
  • 1 tsp oil

Method

    1. Boil the prawns with the half quantity of salt till tender and dry. Chop it.
    2. Now mash the potato and mix it with the chopped prawns, semolina, gram flour, coriander leaves with a pinch of salt and little water to smooth dough. Divide the dough into marble shaped balls and slightly press. Spread the oil on a tava and toast the prawn patties till golden on either side.
    3. In the meantime roast the mint leaves.
    4. Grind the mint leaves, tomatoes with the remaining quantity of salt to a smooth paste.
    5. Mix the mint paste, masala paste till well combined and stir it into a pan and bring it to boil.
    6. When the gravy is thick, add prawn patties, mix the contents thoroughly and remove it from fire.
    7. Garnish the dish with grated cheese or 1/2 tsp butter.
    8. Serve hot with rice or chapatti.
