Banana Inflorescence Curry

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped flowers (remove the stamens)
  • 2 tsp tur dal
  • 1/2 tsp ginger-garlic-green chili paste
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp coriander leaves

For Seasoning

  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp mustard and cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp curry leaves

Method

    1. Heat oil in a pan and fry the seasoning ingredients.
    2. Stir in the chopped flowers, dal, masala paste, salt and the coriander leaves with a little quantity of water.
    3. Cover the pan with the lid, cook on slow fire and the contents are tender and dry.
    4. Serve hot with rice or roti.
