Banana Stem Curry

Ingredients

  • 1 small tender banana stern, chopped
  • 2 tsp moong dal
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp mustard powder
  • 1 tsp lime juice

For Seasoning

  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 green chili, minced
  • 1 red chili, broken into pieces
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds

Method

    1. Heat oil in a pan and fry the seasoning ingredients.
    2. Stir in the chopped stem, dat, salt along with little quantity of water. Cover the pan with the lid and cook till the contents are tender.
    3. Just before removing it from fire, add mustard powder and the lime juice. Mix the contents thoroughly
    4. Serve hot with rice or roti.
