Beetroot Curry
Ingredients
- 1 cup beetroot, chopped
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp chilli or sambhar powder
- 1 tsp chana or moong or tur dal
For Seasoning
- 1 tsp oil
- 1/2 tsp mustard and cumin seeds
Method
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the seasoning ingredients.
- Stir in the vegetable, salt and dal along with a little quantity of water, cover the pan with the lid and cook till the vegetable is tender and dry. Add chili or sambhar powder, mix the contents thoroughly and cook for a minute.
- Serve hot with rice or chapati.
