Turnip Curry

Ingredients

  • 1 cup turnip, chopped
  • A pinch of turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander leaves paste
  • 1/2 tsp mint leaves paste
  • 1/2 tsp ginger-garlic-green chili paste
  • 1/4 tsp salt

For Seasoning

  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp mustard and cumin seeds

Method

    1. Heat oil in a pan and fry the seasoning ingredients.
    2. Add the masala paste and fry.
    3. Add the vegetable, turmeric powder, coriander leaves and mint paste and salt along with a little quantity of water. Cover the pan with the lid and cook till the contents are tender and dry.
    4. Serve hot with rice or chapatti.
